Here is the swatch for August 2020:

Materials: 1 skein of yarn/#6 or #7 needle/Cable needle

NOTES: Sl = slip, B2=Knit 2 stitches for border.

Cast On: Multiple of 5 + 3 + Border (20+3=23+4=27) Cast on 27 stitches

Border:

Row 1-2: Knit across.

Pattern:

Row 1: B2, *P3, Sl 1 on the cable needle, hold in front of work, K1 off left needle, knit the stitch off of the cable needle; repeat from *, end: P3, B2.

Row 2: B2, *K3, P2; repeat from *, end K3, B2.

Row 3: B2, *P3, Sl 1 on cable needle, hold in back of work, k1 off of left needle, knit the stitch off of the cable needle; repeat from *, end P3, B2.

Row 4: B2, *K3, P2; repeat from *; end K3, B2.

Repeat above 4 rows 7 more times.

Border:

Rows 1-2: Knit across

Bind off. Weave in ends.

May 2020 Swatch - Adriennes Swatch

Here is our Swatch for May.

We won't have one for June or July. Taking time off but feel to share any ideas you might have.

May 2020 Swatch –Adriennnes Swatch

Materials: 1 skein of yarn

NOTES: PW = Purl wise; WYIF=With yarn in front; WYIB=With yarn in front; Sl=Slip

Cast On: 20 + Border 4 = 24

Border:

Row 1-2: Knit across.

Pattern:

Row 1: Knit across.

Row 2: K2, *Sl 2 from left needle to right needle PW WYIF, then move yarn to back of work and slip the 2 stitches back to the left needle and knit them; repeat from *, end K2.

Row 3: K2, *P1, Sl 1 WYIB; repeat from *, end K2.

Row 4: K2, *K1, Sl 1, WYIF; repeat from *, end K2.

Border:

Rows 1-2: Knit across

Bind off. Weave in ends.

worsted weight cotton

size US 8 needles

tapestry needle

instructions:

Row 11: Slip 1, ssk, k3, k2tog, k4, kfb, k5, k2tog, k2, k2tog, kfb, k1

Row 12: Slip 1, k4, k2tog, k4, kfb, k5, k2tog, k3, kfb, k1

Row 13: Slip 1, ssk, k2, k2tog, k4, kfb, k5, k2tog, k1, k2tog, kfb, k1

Row 14: slip 1, k3, k2tog, k4, kfb, k5, k2tog, k2, kfb, k1

Materials: solid or pastel variegated yarn and a size #6 or #7 US needle. I used Sugar N Cream Beach Ball Blue

NOTES: Reversible stitch, both sides look good.

Cast On: Multiple of 4 + border stitches (16+4 border sts = 20 stitches)

Border:

Row 1-2: Knit across.

Pattern:

Row 1: K2, *K2, P2; repeat from *, K2.

Row 2: K2, *K2, P2; repeat from *, K2.

Row 3: K2, *P2, K2; repeat from *, K2.

Row 4: K2, *P2, K2; repeat from *, K2.

Repeat rows 1-4 till desired length, I repeated 5 more times, repeated rows 1 & 2 once more.

Border:

Row 1-2: Knit across.

Bind off in pattern.

Weave in ends.
