Materials: 1 skein cotton yarn
#7 US Needles
Stitch Count: This design is a multiple of 3 + 1
stitches. For the swatch we are doing 22
stitches for the design portion and 4 for the border = 26
This would be a great design for a towel. I will also give instructions for a cloth and you can adjust the width to make into a towel if you wish.
Cast on 26
Border:
Rows 1-2: Knit across
Pattern:
Row 1: Knit acrossRow 2: K2, P22, K2

Row 10: K2, P22, K2
Row 11: Knit across
Row 12: K2, P22, K2
Repeat
the 12 rows till desired length. For the
swatch I worked rows 1-12 two times and worked rows 1-10 one more time and then
worked the border.

Row 11: Knit across
Row 12: K4, P28, K4
Repeat
above 12 rows till desired length then work the border (I would work at least 3
sets and then a border. Just work the
size you like for a cloth).
If you
are interested in knitting a matching towel, I would recommend
casting on at least 52 (44 for pattern, 8 stitches for border = 52)
