Materials: 1 skein Cotton yarn
#6 Knitting needles
This is a lace cloth.
Note: This is a panel design and
works well with something you are making that has length to it. It is hard to photograph but has a heart like
vine going up the middle.
K2Tog = Knit 2 together
SKP = Slip 1, Knit 1, Pass slip
stitch overThe lace pattern is a multiple of 17. I added 3 border stitches on each side = 23
Cast on 23
Border;
Rows 1-2: Knit across
Pattern:
Row 1: (RS) K3, *K2Tog, YO, K1, YO SKP* Repeat between
*’s one more time; K3, YO, SKP, K2, K3Row 2: K3, P17, K3
Row 3: K3, (K2Tog, YO, K1, YO, SKP, K1) x2, K2Tog, YO, K1, YO, SKP, K3
Row 4: K3, P17, K3
Row 5: K3, *K2Tog, YO, K1, YO, SKP* Repeat one more time,K2Tog, YO, K3, YO, SKP, K3
Row 6: K3, P17, K3
Repeat above 6 rows to desired length
(I repeated 4 times and repeated rows 1-4 once more)
Border:
Knit two rows,Bind off
Weave in ends.
Vandyke Lace Cloth
We will work 2 panels down the middle
and add border stitches.
Multiple of 17 stitches (17 x 2= 34 +
6 border = 40)Cast on 40
Follow the above directions repeating
between *‘s as directed. You will be repeating more times than in our
swatch (double them). These are general directions for
this pattern.
